Competition Schedule
There are currently 5 competitions on the calendar for the Tesoro HS Winter Drumline team. All parents, families, and students are welcome to attend and support them!

Tuesdays/Thursdays from:
3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Practices continue thru the final championship competition in April.
Winter Drumline is a separate ensemble that does its own show indoors at various high schools in the Southern California area.
Tesoro HS Winter Drumline competes in American Drumline Association (ADLA) competitions.
This activity is often referred to as percussion theater. High school groups typically start after their fall marching band season ends, thus why it is often called Winter Drumline.
The most striking difference is that it’s performed in a gym. Indoor Drumline incorporates a strong theatrical background by using vivid costumes and colors and uses a modern approach to music and instrumentation. As an indoor percussion ensemble consisting of the marching percussion (or battery) and front ensemble (pit or frontline) sections of the Tesoro HS Titan Regiment marching band, this indoor percussion marries elements of music performance, marching, and theater to create an entertaining show!
Winter Drumline is an extra-curricular activity and is not a course offering. The season begins shortly after Marching Band season.
Practices are held in the evenings from November thru April. The season culminates with regional and national championships in April.
Winter drumline is an extra-curricular activity that offers participation to all students.
Its purpose is similar to that of a sports team:
• To strive for excellence
• To develop teamwork
• To learn sportsmanship
• To achieve the highest possible ranking in your competitive circle
• To entertain
